Levi was sick for his actual birthday and coupled with Nick's work schedule, we had to postpone birthday festivities for later in the month. Luckily, Levi doesn't care and he didn't notice we didn't buy his presents until Friday. On Friday we had dinner at Gertie and Grandpa's house and on Saturday, Aunt Fran and I took the boys to the lake.

Here is Levi waiting in anticipation.....as usual, "Feed me! it's been a half hour!"

As you can see, he is pretty serious about his eating.

Here is the lake we went to. Logan played in the sand and swam. It was nice and warm.

Levi was happily content playing with toys and eating in his playpen the whole time we were there. We were going to take him to the water but he had an explosive diaper scenario.

There were a couple of National Guard guys there giving away free stuff. Logan discovered four footballs. We also got some cool hats!

By the end of the day, he learned to throw really well. He would get in his stance, yell some numbers, and throw! Hmmm, I think he's been watching football too much with Nick. It was super cute.

At Gertie's house, Logan went swimming in the plastic pool. He's been outside a lot this spring in the beautiful weather we've been having, but his pale white skin begs to differ.

Levi ate his dinner so happily at Gertie's house. He had a dirt and worms ice cream cake and loved every bite, lick, and gnaw. His little hands and fingers got so cold from the ice cream (yeah, he had a bit of brain freeze) he screamed and cried but no amount of hushing worked. All he wanted was more ice cream! What a sicko!
On top of this fun birthday weekend, Levi started walking yesterday. Yay for Levi!

Happy Birthday Levi! Sounds like a fun weekend! :) (one of these days we'll have to get together somewhere and see if Levi and my Mia look as similar in real life as they do in pictures. :)
